CONSTRUCTIVITY makes a variety of outdoor items. Here are some examples of creative use of materials for interesting outdoor projects.
Table
CONSTRUCTIVITY made this outdoor table from ipe (also known as Brazilian cherry), a wood that is very beautiful and lasts a long time outdoors. Ipe is extremely strong and dense, and will remain the dark color if treated, or will weather to a gray if left untreated. It was leftover scrap from this project.

Raised-bed Garden Planters
Raised-bed planters are a good idea in the Houston area, since our soil is very dense and most plants benefit from a better growth medium that can be put in the beds. These raised beds have enabled a great rose crop to flourish on the side of the house where the gumbo soil is not good for roses. CONSTRUCTIVITY made the beds from a combination of treated lumber at the bottom where they contact the grade, and cedar for the visible part. The cedar will turn a soft gray color over time, or could be stained or treated to maintain the brown color. Both woods are resistant to insects, rot and decay. The cedar is recycled from an old hot tub!
